Scholarship Background

School of Applied Sciences Widening Participation Postgraduate Progression Scholarships. Applied Science is a promising subject. UWE Bristol gives the opportunity to do Post Graduate. The University announced the Widening Participation Postgraduate Progression Scholarship.

The scholarship is available for certain programmes. You can apply for full-time or part-time. All you need to do is, ensure the entry requirements.

You will get the scholarship if your academic result is good. The program is competitive. So, academic results have to be excellent. Otherwise, there is no point in applying.

The scholarship will start in September 2024. Two candidates will be awarded for the scholarship.

Important Note: Home students are the accepted nationalities.

Applied Sciences (MRes)
Biomedical Science (MSc)
Forensic Science (MSc)
Health Technology (MSc)
Science Communication (MSc)
Applied Transfusion and Transplantation (MSc)
Advanced Wildlife Conservation (MSc)

Duration: 1 or 2 years (part time)

Criteria for Eligibility

The eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled to get the scholarship. The University comes with several criteria for eligibility. Students completing the below criteria can apply for the scholarship.

Be categorized as belonging to the Black, Asian, and minority ethnic group
Come from a neighborhood with low involvement
Suffer from a disability
Come from a disadvantaged economic background and low socioeconomic status
Be the pioneer in your family to go to college.
Student who is older
Have earned a result comparable to a first-class honours or upper second-class honours in a
Bachelor’s degree. Applicants with a second-class lower degree will also be taken into consideration.
Have either an offer without conditions or an offer with conditions
Recently graduated from UWE Bristol (no longer accepting new students)
Be categorized as residence for financial reasons
Not currently receiving any other scholarship or award.

Scholarship Application Procedure

You have to submit an application form. You will get the application form by contacting Vivien.Calway@uwe.ac.uk.

Complete the form and send it back to the same email address. Providing correct information is a must. Keep in mind, the application has to be submitted before the deadline.

A panel will assess the application form. If they find any discrepancy, you’ll be rejected. Your academic result will be the priority to get the scholarship. Also, the panel may contact the referee.
